Why this site exists.

Every "what coding language should I learn" article on the internet reads the same. Generic. AI-written. Padded with affiliate links. Vague enough to cover everything and useful for nothing.

We have been running a digital agency in Bengaluru since 2004. We have hired, trained, and watched dozens of developers grow. We have seen languages explode in popularity and quietly fade away. We have shipped real software in nearly every language on this site. So when someone asks us "should I learn Python or JavaScript?" — we have an actual answer, not a checklist.

CodeFun is our attempt to put those answers online. Honestly. With opinions. Without trying to sell you a course.

What you will and won't find here

You will find: Real talk about each language — what it builds, what it pays in India, who actually uses it, and whether you should bother learning it. We name actual companies. We give actual rupee numbers. We tell you when a language is dying.

You will not find: Sponsored rankings. Affiliate links to bootcamps. Newsletter popups. AI-generated lists of "10 reasons to learn X". A login wall. Tracking pixels. Any nonsense, basically.

Who is OneCity

OneCity Technologies is a digital marketing and software agency based in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, with offices in Mangaluru, Mysuru, and Dubai. We have served over 650 clients since 2004 — across SEO, web development, mobile apps, and now AI-era search optimisation.

We also build and run our own products: OneCity Property, CollegesInfo (every college in Karnataka), and MasjidGo (a Sadaqah Jariyah project for the Muslim community). CodeFun is the latest addition — a free resource we built because the existing ones annoyed us.

How accurate is this?

Salary ranges come from talking to people we have hired, current Naukri / LinkedIn job posts in Bengaluru, and the consensus across agency networks. They are India-specific (in lakhs per annum) and lean toward Bengaluru rates. Other Indian cities run roughly 15–25% lower for the same roles.

Tech stacks for each platform come from official engineering blogs, public conference talks, and engineers who have worked there. We avoid speculation. If something is uncertain, we say so.

See something wrong? Email us at hello@onecity.co.in and we will fix it. This is not a static site — we update it.
